Nathan "Nate Lamont Roberts, departed this life unexpectedly on January 1, 2019 at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. Nathan was 37 years old. He was born on September 18, 1981 in the town of Plainsfield, New Jersey to Gilbert Lamont (Kathy) Roberts of Wilmington, DE, and Diane (Cedrick) Tomlin of Charlotte, NC. Nathan was the fourth of five sibilings.
Nathan grew up attending Elizabeth Christian Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey, pastored by the late Reverend Viola Wheler. Nathan moved to Charlotte, NC in July 1994 where attended Eastway Middle School. Nathan attended Garinger High School and later went to work with his hands developing a love for music, carpentry and masonry. Nathan was committed and loved studying the Word of God. He also attended and was baptized at Calvary Christian Church of the Apostolic Faith, pastored by the Late Bishop Edward C. Roberts. In most recent months, Nathan enjoyed visiting Fresh Anointing Chrisitian Ministries, pastored by K.W. Johnson.
Nathan loved the Lord, his children, family, music and enjoyed cooking. Nathan pursued his love for cooking. Nathan's pass employment included P.F. Chang's, Bone Fish and Carrabba's. Nathan embraced his love of music by writing and recording several CD's. Nathan made no doubts about his love of family Nathan would rise early in the morning before work to spend time with his children at the park or library because he worked the closing shift. Nathan's love of laughter caused him to be the life of any crowd. Nathan did not like it when people were not happy, he would do whatever he could to bring a smile to people's faces. Nathan was a caring, sensitive, and loving person.
Nathan is survived by a wife, Micki Nicole McCrory, six children, three daughters, Vanessa Marie Romero, (Matthews, NC), Saevon Oliver, (Charlotte), Nyla-Autumn Maxine Roberts, (Charlotte), Three sons, Santiago Lamont Roberts, (Matthews), Sandiego Lamar Roberts, (Matthews), and Darrell-Anthony Lamont Roberts (Charlotte). Four siblings, Dawn (Anthony) Majette, (Gastonia), Dayon (Crystal) Armstrong, (Charlotte), Dominica Armstrong, (Charlotte); Mary (James) Burkhart (Morgantown, WV). One great Aunt, Beatrice (William) Vaughn (Magnolia, DE). Three Uncles, Arthur (Andrea) McCall (Woodbridge, NJ), Cecil (Lynell) Downer (Piscataway, NJ), and Jason (Latrice) Leak (Easton, PA), a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
