Rodney Jenkins, 54 of Charlotte, departed this life on November 29, 2021.  He was born to the late Mary Ruth Jenkins and Scott Abraham in Manhattan, New York.  Rodney, who was affectionately called "Peppy" by family and friends, was fun to be around and dearly loved.

Rodney attended school in New York and Charlotte.  He used to love doing his back flips and letting people hear his old man laugh.  But most of all, we loved his bow legs.

He leaves two daughters, Cortney and Shayla Jenkins; six grandchildren, Dezmon, Dezontaye, and Ava Nelson, Amarriona, Lamiyah and Ja'layah Jenkins, all of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Cheryl Hemingway, Hattie Carrouthers and Mahogany Jenkins; five god sisters, Cindy, Teresa, Letisha, Tynika and Ebony Haythe, all of New York; one brother, Jamel L. Allen.
