Mr. Alexander Byrd Ellison, 73 of Charlotte, departed this earthly life on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Atrium Health Pineville.  He was the son of the late John Wesley Ellison and Minnie Fee Ellison, was born on March 30, 1948, in Winnsboro, South Carolina.

Ellison received his education from George Fish High School in Fort Mill, SC.  He was employed at Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Alexander was preceded in death by his four brothers, Mac Arthur, Bobbie, John and Willie James Ellison; and two sisters, Isabella Beaver and Alberee Wilson.

Alexander was married to Annie Lowery-Ellison.  They had no children.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife, Annie Lowery-Ellison; sisters, Beatrice Cunningham, Pearl Ellison, Peach McLaughlin, Shirley Hemingway and Julia Berry (Derick), all of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother, Sam Ellison (Diane) of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Martha Lowery; brother-in-law, Robert Lowery; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
