Mr. Alfonza Davis, the son of the late James Moses and Artie Mae Davis, was born October 7, 1943 in Charlotte, NC and departed this life on October 28, 2023 surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his brothers James E. Davis, Jasper Davis, and Cedric B. Davis.

Alfonza joined Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at an early age and became a member of the usher board and a member of Loaves and Fishes food pantry. Alfonza was a graduate of West Charlotte High School class of 1962 and a member of the Marching Lions marching band. Alfonza worked as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service for over 40 years until his retirement.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife of 39 years Angela S. Davis; four children Tarita V. Davis-Martin (Roosevelt), Debbie D. Davis-Morris, Montez A. Davis, and Shelron A. Davis; six grandchildren DeVondria N. Chisholm, Darnell J. Maxwell, Christopher K. Morris (California), Amorie N. Martin, Nakaila A. Davis, and NyAziah B. Falls; one great-granddaughter Skylar A. Poitan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
