Obituary

Alisia Jean Faulkner, 58, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Pine Crest Health & Rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC.

Alisa Jean Faulkner was born on October 18, 1967, in The Bronx, New York, to the late Doris Jean Morrison and Eugene Faulkner. Alisa entered into eternal life on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Pine Crest Health & Rehabilitation of Charlotte.

From an early age, Alisa’s life was shaped by strong family values and faith. Her parents enrolled her in a private Muslim school, where discipline, education, and character were emphasized. Later, the family relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, where Alisa continued to grow and flourish. Alisa attended Cochrane Middle School and later Myers Park High School. She was an honor student and proudly represented her school as a cheerleader and letter girl during her 10th, 11th, and 12th grade years. Her dedication and academic excellence earned her a full scholarship to Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she completed two years of study.

Following a tragic accident, Alisa faced significant physical and mental challenges that made it impossible for her to continue her college education at that time. Despite this life-altering setback, she showed remarkable strength and resilience. After years of healing, Alisa reinvented herself by learning computer skills and earning her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials. She went on to work as a CNA, caring for others with compassion and determination.

Alisa was known as a tough, free-spirited woman who didn’t take junk from anyone—but beneath that strength was a genuinely good heart. She loved the Lord deeply and expressed herself through creativity, faith, and kindness.

Though she never married, Alisa’s greatest joy was her son, Anthony Hill Jr., whom she loved dearly. Anthony preceded her in death on October 14, 2025. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Larue Morrison and Weldon Faulkner.

Alisa leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her family and loved ones. She is survived by her siblings, Freda Morrison, Tamara Mitchell, Antonio Buchanan (Sabrina), Eugene “Bogie” Faulkner Jr. (Samantha), Regina Faulkner, and Demetre Faulkner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alisa Jean Faulkner will be remembered for her strength, resilience, creativity, and unwavering spirit. Her life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and love, and she will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
