Mr. Allen James Talley "Boss Man" CHARLOTTE - Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Allen James Talley a.k.a "Boss Man". He was born on May 6, 1928 in Spartanburg, S.C. to the late Julia Mae Heath and James Allen Talley. He passed the torch and went from journey to reward on January 29, 2015, at the break of dawn. He leaves to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy, devoted wife, Ella P. Talley; two children, Rev. Joseph A. Talley (Barbarette) of Charlotte, Deacon Gilda T. Harris (Donald) of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Guy Talley of New York ,N.Y., Kellie Talley-Mason (John) of Charlotte, Marcus A. Talley, Sr. of Charlotte, Gelisa Stitt of Charlotte and Jason Stitt of Charlotte; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law James Plummer (Tecola) of Kannapolis, and Robert Plummer, Sr. of Charlotte; one sister-in-law Josie Bradford of Newark, N.J. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Institutional Baptist Church, 2400 Greenland Avenue, Charlotte, NC. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at York Memorial Park.
