A Time to Be Born: Alphonsa (Fisheye) Henderson also known as Papa, Daddy Fish, and Uncle Fish was born on August 11, 1941 to the late John Harvey Henderson and Martha Atwell Henderson in Huntersville, NC.

A Time to Be with His Heavenly Father: On December 31, 2021 at 3:33 AM, Friday morning, Alphonsa was received by His heavenly Father surrounded by his earthly family at Novant Health Hospital.

A Time to Grow and Learn: Alphonsa attended Torrence-Lytle High School.  He was a very hard dedicated worker for Carolina Concrete Pipe for over 20 years.  He also worked for 16 years for City of Charlotte, then he finally retired happily after being in the working force for 41 plus years of employment.

A Time to Be Happy and Enjoy Family: Alphonsa married the love of his life Elnora Scott Henderson on December 29, 1968.  Elnora committed and dedicated her life to her husband for 53 years.  They loved traveling and enjoying life with their family and friends from the beaches, to the mountains, even to the big city of Las Vegas.  Their marriage was truly a testament to all that they encountered. Alphonsa was a diehard DALLAS COWBOYS FAN and bragged to any and everyone he saw.

A Time for Worship: Alphonsa joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church at very young age.  He was played on the Mt. Olive Men Softball Team, he sung on the Mt. Olive Gospel Chorus, and joined the Mt. Olive Male Choir where he truly inspired men of all ages to minister through song and recruited very often.

A Time for Accomplishments: Alphonsa recorded two CDs with his quartet groups and a CD with the Mt. Olive Male Choir.

A Time to Mourn: Alphonsa was preceded in death by his parents; one brother (John), and three sisters (Maggie, Geraldine, and Carrie); two grandchildren (Essa Rosetta and Alfonzo Kingston Henderson) and one great-grandson (Steven Brody Nichols).
