Andrea Denise Harris, 60, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Levine & Dickson Aldersgate in Charlotte.
Elder Andrea Denise Harris, also affectionately known as "Niecy," passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Aldersgate Skilled Nursing Facility, after a short illness. Born February 17, 1963, Andrea was the youngest daughter of Mrs. Bettie P. Harris.
As a native of Mecklenburg County, Andrea was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School. She attended Winston Salem State University and went on to pursue a career in Business Administration. She was also a local tax preparer for H&R Block. One of her biggest achievements was owning multiple properties and being able to help those in need.
She was an elder at H.O. Graham Metropolitan Presbyterian Church. In her spare time, she loved shopping.
Andrea was preceded in death by her mother, Bettie P. Harris and one sister, Veronica P. Thompson; three brothers, Daniel E. Prather, Roosevelt Harris Jr., and Lafayette Prather.
Left to mourn her death as deeply as they cherished her life are her devoted brother, Kenneth Prather; nephew, Quentin L. Hipps; nieces, Laniesha Taylor and Briana Harris; great-nephews, Melvin Chambers (Synaia), Quentin Hipps, Jr.; great-great-nephews, Asaad Chambers, Nasir Chambers; and a host of other relatives and friends.
