Angela Mariah Johnson, 41 of Charlotte, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her residence.  She was born November 17, 1979 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the daughter of Leon Douglas Johnson who preceded her in death in 2011, and Denise Williams Johnson.

Angela attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  She was a sweet soul who would give her last to help others in need.  Her heart was so big in her own way; it took a toll on her.  Angela enjoyed hair braiding.  She was artistic; she loved to color.

Angela is survived by her mother, Denise Williams Johnson and sister, Deon Johnson, both of Gastonia, NC; half-brother, Martino Johnson of Charlotte, NC; niece, Taya Lenora Johnson of Gastonia, NC; three sons, Leon D'Angelo Johnson of Gastonia, NC, Aaron Eugene Johnson of Charlotte, NC and Elijha Kishon Sturdivant-Johnson of Charlotte, NC; friend and father of sons, Aaron and Elijha Ernest Eugene Sturdivant; her aunt, Cassandra Hunter; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
