Anita Louise Craig Davidson, 69 of Charlotte, departed this life for her Heavenly home on Friday August 28, 2020.  She was born August 20, 1951 in Monroe, North Carolina to the late John Lee Craig Sr. and Silvinia McNair Craig.

She was educated in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System.  Her educational training made her a graduate of Second Ward High School class of 1969.  She attended American College where her major was in nursing.  She worked in the Food service industry, in the Salad department at Amity Garden Cafeteria; she was a manager at Carolina Value Village, and a Supervisor for Security Services of America.  She was a loving wife, a good mother, a super grandmother, and a great friend.  Her two close friends have remained her friends for over 50 years, Annie Pettis McCaskill and Carolyn A. Leaks.

As a youth she attended Williams Tabernacle C.M.E. church in the old Brooklyn community.  As a young adult she Married Charlie Porter Davidson, and to that union three children were born.  As a family they joined Union Missionary Baptist church, under the leadership of Rev. L. D. Jeffrey.  There, at one point she sang with the Rising Stars Gospel singers.  She sang with a group called The Gospel Commanders with Evangelists, Mary Fowler and Winnie Thomas.  She formed a children group with her children and children in her neighborhood called the Gospel Messengers.  After the passing of Rev. L. D. Jefferies, she returned to her roots and joined Park Wood C.M.E. under the leadership of Rev. Medcaft, Rev. Lewis and Rev. Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Charlie P. Davidson; son, Mario Davidson; daughter, Tawana Murdaugh.

She will be truly missed by her son, Charles L. Davison (Hope) of Charlotte, NC; Brother, John L. Craig Jr., of Charlotte, NC; Sister-in-law, Blandy Davidson (Danny), 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 9 nephews, 7 nieces and a host of relatives and friends.
