Ms. Annette McKinney Jackson, 63 of Charlotte, passed away on Friday September 13, 2019 at Charlotte Health Care. She was born December 30, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee. Her death is preceded by Arthur Lee McKinney Sr. (father), Earnestine McKinney March Banks (mother); Four Brothers, Arthur McKinney Jr., Michael McKinney Sr., Donald McKinney and James McKinney and sister Subrina McKinney.
Annette was taught to cook by her grandmother at a young age. From that point on she knew that cooking was her passion. She worked in several establishments from East Saint Louis Illinois to Charlotte, North Carolina such as restaurants, school grocery and convenience stores. Her last place of employment was Floyd's restaurant where she worked for over 17 years.
Annette never met a stranger. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family to listening to music, playing cards and of course cooking delicious food. She was a fighter, she has overcome many things including mental, physical and emotional hardships. She was quick-witted, straightforward and had a smile that can soften any heart.
She leaves behind a husband of 43 years, Dennis Jackson; two daughters, Samantha Crutcher (Keish), Erica McKinney; one sister, Kelly Yancey of East Saint Louis, Illinois, and one granddaughter, Reniyah McKinney Miles whom she cherished with all her heart.
She will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
