Annie B. Davis, 78 of Charlotte, passed away on November 24, 2019 at Atrium Health-Main. Annie affectionately known as "Mamae," was born October 15, 1941 in Newberry, SC to the late Leroy Boozer and Hattie Gray.
Annie was the wife of the late Elijah Davis and was educated in the Newberry, SC School system. She moved to Charlotte at an early age and worked at McDonalds as a Manager for many years until she retired. Annie was a member of New Waves of Joy Baptist Church where she sang on the Gospel Choir.
Mamae loved to cook and entertain guests. She had a great sense of humor and loved children.
In addition to her husband, Sister Davis was preceded in death by her brothers, Leroy and James Boozer and sister, Lillie Mae Mozee (Roosevelt).
Annie leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Sarah Montgomery (Jimmy) and Dorothy Sims (Thomas); three daughters, Sylvia Burris, Mashell Livingston, and Lisa Murray (Reginald) and one son, Curtis Bing; five stepchildren, Loraine, Judy Anne, Patricia, Elijah Jr. and Charles; five grandchildren, Bernardo Gregory, Vashe Adele-Sanyaolu (Adeniji), Quinton Bing, Jrena Livingston, Jeremiah Livingston; one great-granddaughter, Breaja Bing; and special grandchildren, Victoria Long and Quincy North. Annie had several goddaughters, Sallomondra Robinson, Cheryl Pegus, Lynette Hudson, Marla Fant, Anita Cherry, Tiffany North and Delois McMurray and also a god brother, Andrew Cuthbertson
