Mrs. Annie Ruth Nixon Robinson, 77 of Charlotte, departed this life on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main.  She was born May 12, 1945 to the late Susie Bowden Nixon and James Hammond in Lincolnton, NC.  She lived in the Lincolnton area before moving to New York where she met and married her husband of 53 years, Mr. William L. Robinson, Sr.

Annie and William returned to North Carolina to raise their children in Charlotte.

Annie worked at Belk's Corporate office and then moved on to work at Royal Insurance and retired from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools as a bus driver (Bus #950).

Annie loved her family, church, playing bingo and cards, shopping and giving and doing for others.

Annie is survived by her loving husband, William; son William L. Robinson, Jr. (Cynthia) and daughters, Letilia Robinson, Deborah Smith and Petroncia Anderson; grandchildren Kendra R. Robinson, Dontae Kornegay, Kyndall Melker, William L. Robinson III; three brothers and four sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.
