Mrs. Annie Christine Price Williams, 85 of Charlotte, departed her earthly life and transitioned to her heavenly home on January 4, 2020 at her residence. She was born on November 4, 1934 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Teenie, as she was affectionately known, began her early education at Billingsville Elementary School, continuing on to Clear Creek School and graduated from Second Ward High School.
Teenie had a passion for fashion and would spend many Saturday mornings until late afternoon bargain shopping at estate and attic sales with her sisters. When you visited her at home, she would leave the room only to return with a purse, shoes, clothing or household items and she would say, "here is something for you," or "take this and use it." She was a wonderful person who always had a giving, thoughtful and kind heart to all. She also loved to take bus trips with her sisters and favorite cousin as her companions.
She was a faithful member of Grier Heights Presbyterian Church her entire life and served as a member of the Trustee Board, Deacon Board, Presbyterian Women's Organization, Culinary Helper and for many years, she sang soprano on the GHPC Senior Choir. In 2012, she was selected by the Men's Council as Woman of the Year for which she felt truly honored.
Teenie was the youngest born of thirteen children to the late Annie Bell and John Lee Price. All of her siblings preceded her in death as did her beloved son, Carl Jeffery Williams.
She leaves a legacy to her husband of 66 years, Roy L. Williams; daughters, Emily Funderburke (Henry), Michella Massey (Charles); grandchildren, Herb (Cynthia) whom she raised as her son, Desmond (Nicole), Crystal and Dionne; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
