Arjene' Anaiah Laurina Merrion, 26 of Matthews, NC, departed this life on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Novant Health - Matthews Medical Center, NC.  She was the daughter of Elder Richard and Charmaine Merrion was born on May 28, 1966 in North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.  Arjene' was introduced to mighty men and women of God who prayed for her and with her from the time of her birth.  She enjoyed listening to Christian music, church and prayer.  Her attention peaked when prayers were offered on her behalf.  Arjene' was our little princess.  Arjene's middle name Anaiah, is Hebrew for "God has answered".  When the doctor's said no, God said yes.  Despite her many challenges, Arjene' lived beyond the years that the doctors' said she would.  Arjene' was a member of St. Joseph Episcopal Church, Queens Village, New York and Living Rock Christian Center, Arverne, New York.

Arjene' attended St. Charles Learning Center in Port Jefferson, New York and Premm Learning Center, Eastern Suffolk BOCES, New York.  Ar'jene won the hearts of her teachers and care providers.  She was a light of inspiration to all who knew her.  Arjene' continued to be surrounded with prayer as she slipped into the arms of her heavenly Father.  Her family loved her very much however God loves her best.

Arjene' leaves to cherish her memories:  Elder Richard and Charmaine Merrion, her loving parents; Richard Merrion III, her loving brother; Grandmother (Nana) Juanita Davidson who faithfully stayed by her side and cared for her; Norma (Grand Aunt & Godmother) who stayed in prayer for Arjene', Slyvia (Grand Aunt & Caregiver); Aunts: Linda, Brenda, Shelly & Dorothy; Grand Uncle Edson.  She also leaves to mourn her Godparents Rick and Janet Thompson and a host of cousins, God sisters and God brothers, other relatives and friends.  Arjene' is preceded in death by Dora Lee Merrion (Grandmother), Noel Jack (Grand Uncle) and Henry Jack (Grand Uncle).
