Mrs. Barbara Jean Caldwell departed her life on Tuesday, October 8, 2022 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. She was born to the late Carrie Brannon on February 13, 1954.

Barbara graduated from West Charlotte High School in Charlotte, NC and worked as a seamstress for over 30 years.

Barbara's greatest joy was being a loving and nurturing wife to her husband, David Caldwell, and a devoted mother to her son, David Lamont Caldwell.

Barbara's love and nurturing was also felt by her extended family as she hosted many memorable family Christmas dinners. Mrs. Caldwell is know for her delicious gravy and giblet dressing.

Barbara was preceded in death by her bay sister, Beverly Brannon.

She is survived by her husband, David Caldwell; son, David Lamont Caldwell (Ronette); sisters, Julia Lineberger, Iris Huntley and Claretha Benjamin (Brian); brother, Ronnie Brannon; grandchildren , DJ Caldwell, Devin Caldwell, and Darius Caldwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
