Mrs. Barbara Ann Houston, 83, of Charlotte NC departed this life on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Levine & Dickson Huntersville.

Barbara Ann Broome Houston was born to Robert Lee and Leatha Kennedy Broome on December 16, 1939 in Mecklenburg County, NC.  She went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 25, 2023.

Barbara attended Torrence Lytle High School in Huntersville, NC.  Throughout her career, she worked for National Metal and Western Steer Steak House, until she became a homemaker.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Leatha Broome and son, Mark Houston.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband of 67 years, Melvin Houston, of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Jetton (Craven), Wanda Duncan; three grandsons, Terrell Houston, Markese Cureton (Shakeba), and Ronald Duncan, Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren, Adrian Houston, Jr., Nicholas Houston, Serenity Pharr, Lauren Wise, Syriah Cureton-Davis, Sereniti Bost, and Markese Cureton, Jr.
