On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, God sent a special Angel to receive his humble servant, Mrs. Barbara (Ms. Bob) F. Talbert.
Barabara was born on December 13, 1935 in Charlotte, NC to the late Williel and Hermian Ford. During her years at West Charlotte High School, she was an outstanding basketball player. She was a graduate of Teamer School of Religion. Spiritually grounded, she was a member of Nazareth Primitive Baptist Church where she served on the Matron's Choir. Her career endeavors included Delmar Studios and Domestic Support for the Dowd Family.
Ms. Bob was known as the Neighborhood Mom and Nurse. She was also known as the 'Candy Lady' who sold the best Candy Apples and Snowballs in the entire University Park community. She touched so many lives with her loving and caring spirit. She was always there for friends and family whenever needed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Williel and Hermian Ford; husband, Nathaniel Talbert Sr., and daughter, Marilyn I. Sartor.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her sister Cassandra Abraham of Charlotte; Sister-In-Law, Barbara Bailey of Charlotte; two sons, Emmerson W. Sartor Jr. (Carol) of Jacksonville, NC, and Williel L. Sartor of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Robin C. Sartor of Charlotte, NC and Katherine T. Hoston (Richard) of Charlotte, NC; a special nephew Antonio Young (Patricia); six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
