Mrs. Beatrice Campbell, 79, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Atrium-Main.

Beatrice Barnes Campbell, 79, was born in Charlotte, NC to the late James Barnes and Geneva Hill.  She departed this life at Atrium Healthcare Main on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Beatrice Campbell touched the lives of many and leaves to mourn her loss her sons, Kenneth Barnes (Sheila), Phillip Barnes (Beatrice); daughters, Harriett Barnes, Natalie Wheeler; sister, Rose Montgomery; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvester Campbell; daughter, Tara Quicksey; two sons, Steve Barnes and Jeffery Wheeler; brothers and sisters, James Barnes, Jr., Willie Mae Hill, Roger Barnes and Maggie Stitt.

Beatrice Barnes Campbell attended York Road High School in Charlotte, NC. She was an active member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Beatrice had a truly loving, affectionate personality and cared about people.  She was a homemaker for countless generations.  She loved cooking, knitting and crochet, singing, drawing, and she had one heck of a Scrabble game!  She loved fishing and sight-seeing and she enjoyed a good game of Spades.  Beatrice loved her family and would do anything for anyone she knew.

She was a God-fearing woman who, no matter what odds she faced, knew that God would be there to guide her which gave her the strength, boldness and faith to face things that may seem impossible.  She was a blessing to many and an inspiration, as well.
