Mrs. Beatrice Martin, 88 of Charlotte, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 10, 1931.

Mrs. Martin was a proud graduate of Johnson C. Smith University and upon completion of her collegiate education, she became an educator herself, teaching elementary school in South Carolina and Ohio.

Mrs. Martin was also a proud, devoted and long-standing member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Leola Martin and her husband, Jerry Martin.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Leona Martin, devoted brother, Edward Martin, both of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a host of family and friends in her birthplace of Greenwood, South Carolina.
