Mr. Bengie Tate, 78 of Charlotte, passed away on May 5, 2016 at Saturn Nursing Center.  Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Greater Galilee Baptist Church.  Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at York Memorial.  Bengie leaves to cherish in his loving memory his wife, Mary W.; daughters, Cathey of Dallas and Marilyn of Charlotte; son, Bengie, Jr. of Burlington; brother, Johnelle Porter; two aunts, Ida Mae Graham, and Martha of Gastonia; grandchildren, Lashonda, Jeremiah and Alicha.
