Benjamin Teasley Jr. know as Big Ben was born on February 8, 1946 in Charlotte, NC to the late Benjamin Teasley and Mattie G Teasley.

Benjamin retired after 49 years from the city of Charlotte sanitation department. He enjoy working in his yard and spending time with his
grandchildren. He enjoyed taking his granddaughter and great-grandchildren to school and also spending time with his McDonald 's buddies at the round table. He attended Saint Paul Baptist Church and served on the usher board.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Rufus and Carl Teasley and sister, Carolyn Teasley.

Benjamin is survived by his loving wife Athena Teasley of 43 years, his eight children, Cordilla Kelly ( Jermaine), Michelle Teasley, Ricardo Teasley, Angela Teasley, Angelo Howard (Michelle), Chanel Teasley, Benjamin Teasley(Kanita), Jennifer Teasley; 16 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. Five sisters Rosetta Mangum of Philadelphia, PA; Ruby Glenn; Patricia Knotts; Ruth Locket; Mona Teasley all of Charlotte, NC ; Two brothers Larry Teasley and Lawrence Teasley( Shirley) all of CHarlotte, NC. and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives .
