Mr. Bernard Kirk, 63 of Augusta, GA passed away on July 13, 2021 with family at his bedside. He was born in Charlotte, NC on July 2, 1958. He was the son of William O. Kirk of Charlotte, NC and Bernice Barbara (Brevard) Kirk of Cleveland, NC.

Bernard graduated from Benjamin Cardozo High School, in NY, 1976. He was a certified computer technician and auto mechanic. Bernard possessed the persona of an entertainer. When he was present, people would often gather around to witness his excitement. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by his wife Vernesinte (Bennett) Kirk, his brother Lincoln Monroe Cowan, Jr. and nephew Kenyana Roland Perkins.

He leaves precious and loving memories to his daughter by marriage, Iesha Yants, spouse Bernard Yants, Sr., grandsons Bernard Jr. Tyson and Leon from Utica, NY., sister-in-law Phyllis Cowan, sister Barbara Kirk of Asheville, Marilynn Y. Perkins-Chester of Charlotte, Gerald M. Kirk of Florida, Levolia Lee of Florida, Jason W. Kirk of Bronx, NY. Craig Tate (Janet) of Charlotte, NC and Tracy Tate of Charlotte, NC. Very special recognition cousin Deborah A. Amin of Virginia, cousin Linda R. Henry of South Carolina, cousin Calvin R. Taylor of South Carolina, and John Miles of New York, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephew and friends.
