Mrs. Bessie Mae Davis Foster, daughter of the late Gennie Mae Davis, was born March 24, 1947.  She entered eternal life on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Margate Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson, NC.  She was 79.

Mrs. Foster was married to James Edward Foster, Sr. who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Henderson.

She was educated in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and attended Central Piedmont Community College where she was a nursing student. Mrs. Foster loved the Lord.  She enjoyed going to church and listening to gospel music.  She was a joy and much fun to be around.  She dearly loved her family.

Left to cherish fond memories of her life are three sons, James E. Davis of Charlotte, NC, James E. Foster, Jr. and Daniel Foster, both of Albemarle, NC; one daughter-in-law, Nydia Foster of Albemarle, NC; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Ed Davis (Jean) of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
