Mrs. Betty Mobley, 82 of Charlotte, was called home on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Levine & Dickson Southminister. She was born on January 1, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice A. Green.
She graduated from Fairfield High School, and later married Mr. Moses Mobley and moved to Charlotte, NC. She loved her church and was a faithful member until her health declined. She was a member of the Senior Choir, Usher Board, a Deaconess, Class Leader, and Missionary Circle #3. She had a love for dogs and worked as a nurse at CMC and a beautician for many years.
She is survived by her caring family who will cherish her memory eternally; sisters, Mrs. Janie Hill (Thomas), Mrs. Ruby Jones (Leroy), and Miss Shirley Green, all of Winnsboro, SC; brothers, Donald Green (Ruby), Ulysses Green, and Andrew Green (Shirley), all of Winnsboro, SC; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Rosa Ann Chapell, Mrs. Carrie Robinson, Mrs. Bernice Mobley, all of Winnsboro, SC. Mrs. Teresa Green of Lexington Park, MD; one uncle, Mr. John A. Robinson; two goddaughters, Celestine Ratliff and Miss Erica; a special nephew, George Levette Mobley Jr., a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly; her closest friends, Mrs. Selestine Fesperman, Mrs. Margaret Martin, and Mrs. Jannie Ingram.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Mobley was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Moses Mobley, and four siblings, Robert L. Armstrong, Walter Green Jr., Isaac Green and Marvin Green.
