Blondell Visor Burson, 83, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on December 30, 2024, at Novant Presbyterian Main.

Mrs. Blondell Visor Burson was born on April 22, 1941, in Lafayette County, Mississippi to the late Roosevelt and Louise Nelson Visor. Mrs. Burson entered eternal rest on December 30, 2024, at the Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mrs. Burson was married to Mr. James Timothy Burson for 25 years who preceded her in death. In addition to Mrs. Burson's parents, Mrs. Burson was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roosevelt Visor Jr. and Jessie Lee Visor.

Mrs. Burson grew up and received her education in Oxford, Mississippi and thereafter relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where she created new roots and made it her home. Mrs. Burson became a loyal devoted employee with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and retired after 32 years of dedication. It is well known that Mrs. Burson was also devoted to truly loving and caring for her family, whether it was keeping an open door for those in need or preparing a batch of potato salad or coleslaw for any and all occasions (her favorite).

Mrs. Burson was a faithful member of University Park Baptist Church for well over 25 years.

Mrs. Burson leaves the following to cherish and preserve her memories: two children, Lisa Fewell (Michael) of Waldorf, MD and Maurice Visor of Rock Hill, SC; niece, Stacy Harrell of Charlotte, NC; and beloved sister, Sarah Summers (Robert) of Charlotte, NC. Additionally, Mrs. Burson leaves five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends to treasure and uphold her memories.
