Bobby Greene, 89, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Bobby Greene was born August 3, 1937. He is the twelfth child of the late Cleveland and Martha Wilson Greene. Affectionately known as "Spanky" he was born and raised in a Charlotte, North Carolina area commonly known as the Wards.

Upon completion of high school, Bobby had honorably completed a stint in the United States Army.  With his military time behind him, he turned his focus to his wife of 50+ years Saundra Elaine Greene whose death preceded him and their only daughter Robin Elaine Greene Plummer who passed away in June of 2024.

Bobby spent 20+ years as a machinist at Pelton and Craine where he was mentor to all. Bobby then took on the challenge of entrepreneurship with the creation of Greene's Cleaning Service which went on to be well known in the janitorial industry.

With the success of Greene's Cleaning Service Bobby was able to devote his time to his family which includes his granddaughters Ashley Elaine and Amberly Rose Plummer. As well as siblings, cousins, nephews, and nieces who will miss him dearly.

Bobby was a pure and kind person that would do anything for the community, family, business associates. Always a friend to those in need. 

He will truly be missed.
