Bobby Talley, age 80, of 3229 Maywood Drive, Charlotte, NC, answered the Master's call and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Accordius Health at Midwood.  A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was born on December 28, 1941 to the late J.T. and Montess Talley.

He was educated in the Spartanburg School System.  He worked for Charlotte Transit Systems for many years.  He confessed his faith in Christ and was baptized on July 12, 2015 as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Charlotte, NC.

Bobby was a quiet and humble man who always prayed for others and their well-being.  He enjoyed watching country westerns, listening to gospel music, and would sparingly sneak in a little side joke just to see you smile.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories one daughter, C. Michelle Talley of Charlotte, NC; three sons, Wayne Talley and Charles Talley of Honea Path, SC, and John Talley (Adanell) of Abbeville, SC; eight granddaughters, Deanna Putman, Latarra Davis, Natalia Talley, Brittany Harris, Donneshia Blunt, Brianne' Talley, LaChandra Talley and Amina Smith; eight grandsons, Dameion Hunter, Anthony Talley, Martavious Brown, Jerome Cathey, Charles Talley, Jr., JaMario Cathey, Jontavius Talley, and Anthony Carson; one sister, Martha Ann Talley of Greer, SC; one brother-in-law, William Norman; one sister-in-law, Ruby McIlwain; special niece, Sallie Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maggie N. Talley; daughters, Patricia Talley and J. Louise Talley-Dumbuya; adopted daughter, Carolyn Hunter Cathey; son, Bobby Talley, Jr.; sisters, Lois Williams, Laura Lee Dodd, and Clara Mae Gray; brothers, Arthur Lee Talley, Joe "Junior" Talley, and Horace Lee Talley; granddaughter, Latonya Monique Talley; and grandson, Lamar Putman.
