Obituary

Ms. Brenda J. Knighton was born on August 19, 1952 in York, SC to the late Lewis Jerry Knighton, Sr. and Jessie Mae Brown Knighton. She departed her earthly life on May 07, 2021.

Sis. Knighton was educated in the Laurens County Public School System in Clinton, SC. She attended Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC.

She gave her life to Christ at Bethesda Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church under the late Jasper Brian in Greer, SC. Over the years, Brenda participated in Sunday School, church choir, bible study and various activities. She later joined New Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, Charlotte, NC under Suffragan Bishop Dr. Melvin J. Hardy, Sr. Pastor. She served in Sanctuary and Missionary Choirs.

Sister Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughter Chrystal LaTrae Knighton; son, Gregory Darrell Knighton, granddaughter, Jessica Michelle Knighton; sister Rene Knighton all of Charlotte, NC; brother, Jerry Knighton (Gail) of Easley, SC, niece Tawanna O'mara Henderson of Greenville, SC, nephew, Travis O'Brian Knighton of Simpsonville, SC, cousins, a loving church family and a host of caring friends.

Brenda will be truly missed by many.
