Mr. Bruester Hearn Jr., 79, of Charlotte NC departed this life on Tuesday, September 11, 2023, at Novant Main.
Bruester Hearn, Jr., also known as "The Rooster," gained his wings on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Novant Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Bruester was born on March 13, 1944. He was the oldest child of the late Bruester, Sr. and Cora Lee Hearn.
Bruester loved the Lord! He learned that at an early age at Moore's Sanctuary A.M.E. Zion Church. He attended Plato Price High School where he played the saxophone in the marching band. He loved music and loved dancing also. His signature dance, "the rooster," spread joy and happiness to everyone he encountered.
He was a happy person and enjoyed making people laugh. He was the "life of the party!" He was a Nascar racing fan and an even bigger Dallas Cowboys fan. Bruester also earned his associate degree in business from Central Piedmont Community College. He was a bus operator for CATS Transit System where he retired in 1998.
Bruester was preceded in death by his sister, Betty; three brothers, William, Thomas and Bob Hearn; daughter, Annette Hearn; and son, Bruce J. Gaiten.
He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife of 37 years, Dolly Hearn; two brothers, Samuel Hearn and John Hearn; his son, Bruester Hearn, III; three daughters, Jacqueline Hearn McInnis (Bernard), LaKesha Yvette Hearn, and Brandy Crisp (Vincent); two sisters-in-law, Shirley Hearn and Melissa Belton; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
