Ms. Carol A. Harris, 67, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at her residence in Durham, NC.
In honor of Mr. & Mrs. Harris donations may be sent to the American Heart Association or the National Diabetes Association/ Foundation.

Carol Agatha Harris, 67, of Durham, NC, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at her residence in Durham. Carol (aka Carolyn) received the precious gift of life on February 11, 1956 in Charlotte, NC to the late Lillie Ree and Robert Lee Harris, Sr., sharing the same birthday as her father. She was the grand-daughter of the late Nannie and Seawright Harris and Odell and Noah E. Jones.
She attended Torrence-Lytle School, Huntersville Elementary School, Alexander Jr. High School and graduated from North Mecklenburg Senior High School in Huntersville, NC in 1974. She attended several universities pursuing her interest in early childhood education and writing, including Johnson C. Smith University, the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and Central Piedmont Community College.
Carol was baptized at an early age and accepted Jesus Christ at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Williamston, SC. She attended Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Huntersville, NC, Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Colleyville, TX and briefly a small Baptist church there in Durham.
Carol lived for several years in Bedford, Texas before moving back to North Carolina and was a known and devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. She leaves a lifetime of love and precious memories with her sister, Cynthia Rhedell Harris of Charlotte, NC; brother, Robert Lee Harris, Jr. of Nuremberg, Germany; and sister, LaJaynes and brother-in-law, Victor J. Dupuy, II of Colleyville, TX.
Although Carol did not have children of her own, she was instrumental in the upbringing, nurturing and love of her nieces and nephews, Chinyere Harris, Marissa Bond, Victor J. Dupuy, III, Chainey Harris, Chephren Harris, Margeaux Dupuy Brown, William Dupuy, Lauren Harris, Symphony Harris, Darice Harris and Carolyn Harris; and grand-nephews, Jaiden, Jaxen and Ezra. She also leaves three aunts, many cousins and friends all over the country and world.
