Carol Jean Kee, 71, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Crown Haven Health & Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte, NC.

Carol Jean Dorsey Kee was born September 4, 1954, in Franklin County, Columbus, Ohio, to the late Mildred Simmons Dorsey and Cleo Cornelius Dorsey. She departed this life on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Crown Haven Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte, NC.

Carol Kee was a loving mother and grandmother. She was educated in the Beaufort County School System in South Carolina. She was a Mary Kay consultant where she brought a vibrant “Go Get It” attitude to the company. Carol also loved her music; she loved to dance.

Carol wore many hats. She loved her family and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, James Jones, William S. Jones; and her husband, Jimmy Kee.

Left to cherish precious memories are her daughter, Keisha Ellison (Rossi); sister, Faye Watts (Virgil); brother, Jerry Dorsey (Angela); grandchildren, Octavious Hopper (Nesha), Mathew Hopper (Johnathan); LaKesha Black, Nathan Black, Jaylin Ceja, Tania Herbert, Jasmine Jones, Alana Cotten; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
