Ms. Carolyn Fleming, 63 of Charlotte, passed away on Saturday May 18, 2019 at Carolinas Medical Center-University. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mr. Clarence Fleming and Mrs. Tommie Jane MyIntyre Fleming, sister, Marilyn Fleming, and brother, Lonzel Fleming.

Curt attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and graduated from Independence High School.  She attended Johnson C. Smith University as well as CPCC.  While at JCSU  Curt was recruited into the US Army.  This allowed her to travel the United States and Europe.  Carolyn worked as a mechanic when she served in the Army.  She continued driving and working on trucks after her honorable discharge.

Many adjectives may be used to describe Carolyn-straight shooter, hipster, eccentric, even bossy.  But all would agree that she was extremely loving and caring.  Curt's passion in life was helping others.  She loved to provide information to fellow veterans about how to receive their maximum benefit.  Curt donated to many organizations to help fed the hungry.  Neighborhood children stopped by her home for candy, but, received unsolicited advise.  Aunt Curt created MOFF (Mothers of the Fleming Family) an organization designed to plan fun activities for our children.

Curt will be missed by many including her six brothers, Waymon Fleming (Betty), Dan Fleming (Rosalind), Willie Fleming; Thomas Fleming (Melinda), Edgar Fleming (Karen), and Samuel Fleming; sister, Flo Sessoms (Connie); sister-in-law, Priscilla Anderson Fleming, four outstanding uncles and nine wonderful aunts; more than 85 nieces and nephews; numerous supportive cousins; a host of faithful friends including her dear friend, Arnetta Foster.
