Cassandra Patrice Lide was born on March 28, 1973 to Mary Lide and the late Marion Lide. God called Cassandra home on May 5, 2015. Cassandra attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in 1992. After high school, she studied Broadcast Communication and Journalism at Central Piedmont Community College. Cassandra's passions were her family, friends, poetry, and people. She wrote many journals, short stories, and poetry books. Her love for people led her to venture into the role of Marketing Promotions Director and Director of Security for Charlottes Night Life. Cassandra's grandparents, her father Marion Lide, and nephew, Ja'Ron McGill preceded her in death. She leaves behind her loving mother, Mary Lide; three wonderful children, Gregory Antoninne Clark Jr., Ezra Reginald Jackson Jr., and Ajahni Asoni Jaquinlyn Jackson; three brothers, Edmund Lide, Michael Lide, and Scott Lide; and one sister, Jackie McGill (James Kenneth). She was also survived by uncles, Willie Marion Moore and C.J. Lide (Mattie); great-aunt, Jessie M. Heath; great-uncle Harold Artis; and a special friend, Kristi Covington; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral service for Ms. Lide will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Grier Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
