Cathy Lynn Price, 58, formerly of Charlotte, NC, quietly transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Atrium Health Charlotte.  She was born on December 31, 1963, to the late James Garnett and the late Sarah L. Price.

Cathy was a 1982 graduate of Independence High School and received her Associates Degree from Kings College in 1984.  After graduation, she was employed as a Word Processor at Wells Fargo (formerly known as First Union) in 1986 and continued with her career growth until 2012.  She proceeded to work from home to support her girls while they continued their education and played basketball.

Anyone who knew Cathy was touched by her big heart, kindness, humor and mild temperament.  She was a fun and joyful person with her fashionable clothes, stylish hairpieces and bubbly personality.  She loved her family and friends and welcomed them in her home with warmth and kindness.  Cathy wore many hats and if you were given one, she was there for you.  When her aunt Maggie Coleman became sick, she gave her the best care and loved her unconditionally.  She was a proud grandmother and could not wait to Zylan Risean Nesbit's arrival.  Unfortunately, she did not meet him but held him in her arms.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, the late Sammy Joe and Corraine Strong Price and John and Kathern Garnett; two brothers, Ronnie Crawford and Wesley Garnett; one aunt, Lillie Price; and one uncle, Tony Garnett.

She leaves to cherish her longtime partner, best friend and common law husband, Walter Nesbit; twin daughters, Sakema Nesbit and Tykema Nesbit; one grandson, Zylan Risean Nesbit; one stepdaughter, Siedadda Misenheimer (Sirron); two stepsons, Avery Stitt and Walter O'Brian Nesbit; two step granddaughters, Syeda Stitt and Aisha Stitt; five step grandsons, Avery Stitt, Jr., Mayjer Nesbit, Jataboius Nesbit, Nashun Nesbit and Syion Misenheimer; twin goddaughters, Breyonda Jones and Keyonda Jones; three sisters, Angela Ross Stitt (Fred), Vivian Carr and Jackie Austin; two brothers, Christopher Garnett and James Wise; four aunts, Maggie Coleman, Annie Pearl Norman, Carrie Garnett and Iris Garnett; and a host of family and friends.
