Cedric Darnell Gilmore, age 52 passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2nd. Cedric was born on September 11,1971 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Carolyn Felder Gilmore. He was preceded in death by his father Daryl Lamont Gilmore and sister Shannon Glimore-Coffie(James). Cedric, leaves behind 4 children, Jasmine Gilmore, Keilan Gilmore Keenan Gilmore, Khyrell Banks and 6 grandchildren. Cedric was one of four children, and is survived by his sisters Talya Gilmore, Bridgette Wallace(Perry). He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cedric graduated from Independence Senior High School in Mint Hill, NC.  He enjoyed spending time with his family especially at the holidays.  He invested in his youngest son's school and community.  He loved quietly, while often telling those close that he loved them.
He was a hard worker.  He held various positions such as home revocations, as a chef for several restaurants in Charlotte, and also worked in security. Cedric was a kind and caring person, a friend to many.  He loved his family and will be deeply missed.
