Celialee Patricia Hood King, 67 of Charlotte, passed away on October 4, 2021 at Atrium Health - Pineville.  She was born a twin on the afternoon of February 27, 1954, in Harlem Hospital in Manhattan, New York. Her family soon moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where Celia grew up and lived all her life.  She graduated from Myers Park High School in 1972 and took courses at Central Piedmont Community College in Child Development.

Celia's profession included childcare, foster-care, and the care of special needs children.  Celia was also a real estate investor.

Celia liked to travel.  Her destinations included Seoul, Korea; Hollywood; Paris, France; and The Bahamas.  She also liked to entertain family and friends with good food, Motown music and dancing, card-playing and conversation.  It was a decades-long tradition that Celia would host her family and friends on Thanksgiving.  Celia was a good cook and a good seamstress.  She loved spending time with her grandson Jeremiah.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Kinard Marquis King; her husband, John "Bo" King; her mother, Effie Lene Wallace Hood; her siblings, Katrina M. Hood and Ronnie E. Hood; and her sister-in-law, Claudette "Cherry" Hood.

Celialee is survived by her daughter, Celialee Mona' Fleming Kendrick (Rickey); her granddaughters, Alysia and Aliyah Williams and grandson, Jeremiah King; her daughter-in-law in spirit, Sha'Rhonda Moffett; her first husband, Dan Fleming (Rosalind); her father, Leroy Hood Jr.; her siblings, Roy Lee Hood (Dorothy) of Spokane, WA; her twin, Carlalene King (Guy) of Alexandria, VA; Vernetta Holliman (Larry) of Charlotte; Rickey Hood of District Heights, MD; Latrisia Johnson (Darryl) of Effort, PA; Zanida "Nina" Scott of Charlotte; and Maurisa Chase (Richardo) of Roanoke, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins in the Wallace and Hood families; and a host of friends.
