Mr. Charles Haywood Edwards, 70 of Charlotte, departed this life on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Sardis Oaks Nursing Home.  Mr. Edwards was the son of the late Dorothy Edwards and Haywood Tinsley.

"Tuda" as he was known by his family and friends, was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 4, 1952.  He was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System.

Charles loved to sing.  He sung when he was happy, sad, or even when he wanted to get on your nerves, he would sing.  He worked various jobs in Charlotte, including Frito Lay.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Derrick Rascoe, of Windsor, NC; five granddaughters, Alesia Townsley of Denver, CO, Lexus Doak of Morgantown, NC, Alexus Rascoe of Charlotte, NC, Jazmine Rascoe and Jayla Rascoe of Windsor, NC; one grandson, Jared Rascoe of Windsor, NC; and eight great-grandchildren.  He also leaves two sisters, Deatrice Thomas of Oxonhill, MD, and other lives in Charlotte, NC; and a host of other family and friends.
