Mr. Charles E. Vinson transitioned to his eternal home on April 18, 2024, at the age of seventy-four. He was born on June 2, 1949, at Union Memorial Hospital to the late Daisy Jackson & Benny Vinson. Charles attended Union County School District. He furthered his education at Central Piedmont Community College, earning an associate degree in Business Administration in 1970. With a great business mind, he managed several Charlotte area stores, including owner and operator of Five Points Convenience store. Charles maintained a successful career with Anheuser-Busch- Wholesaler, retiring in 1997. Mr. Vinson frequently referred to as "a good man" was kind and caring. He loved his family and was always available to support those he cared for. He was encouraging, smart, and never quick to judge and often saw the good in others. Charles loved the Lord! He joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church; Charlotte N.C. in the 1980's where he was an active member and served on the trustee and usher board. He later joined Elizabeth Baptist Church; Monroe N.C., serving as an usher and singing on the men's choir. His love for golf developed at an early age while serving as a caddy. He later became a member of Monroe Country Club. He was gentle at heart, a provider and protector. In his Sunday's best or PGA golf attire, Charles was a smooth dresser and took pride in his appearance. He enjoyed life and embraced others with a smile, never hard to please. You could always find Charles marveling in the simple things of life, doing what he loved, and playing on the greens, with his Callaway #1 driver. Mr. Charles Vinson was preceded in death by brothers Terry Vinson, Walt Vinson, and sisters, Sue Vinson, and Christine Vinson. He leaves to cherish in fond memories his daughters Devonyia Mobley, Tiara Vinson, the love of his life Karen Adams, grandson Ryan Mobley, Quest Odom, Landon Robinson and granddaughter Kiara McClure, a host of nieces and nephews, friends, and family. Charles will be missed dearly!
