Mr. Charlton D. Browning, 87 of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on Friday March 1, 2019 at Peak Resources. He was born on November 11, 1931 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.  He was the son of the late Ethel Craig and Clarence Browning.

Mr. Browning was an active and faithful member of the Faith Church Family.  He was a founding member of the Faith Church Male Choir.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Mrs. Edna L. Mackey Browning; four children, Evelyn Smith, Theresa Leech, Steven Browning, and Delfene Browning, and one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Cannon.

Left to cherish fond memories are two sons, Larry Mackey (Betty), Charles Browning, Jr. (Gwen) and one daughter, Eva Belinda Barfield (Jarvis), 19 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren. A very special dedicated friend, Ms. Ona Alexander; and a host of other relatives and friends.
