Christian Nance was born March 27, 1997, in Mecklenburg County to Crystal Nance. She was also the proud and loving daughter of Lee Dockery and Doris Black (Earl). Christian departed this life on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Christian was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system. She was a member of the girls basketball team while a student at Wilson Middle school. She attended Harding High School. She worked at Carowinds.

Christian was sociable, well-liked and adored by family and friends. She loved to sing, dance, and was always a stylish and fashionable dresser. She was fun to be around. Her favorite basketball team was the Golden State Warriors.

When she was young, Christian accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. As a youth, she attended Moore's Sanctuary A.M.E. Zion Church where she sang on the choir.

In addition to her parents, Christian  is survived by her son, DeMario Blakney, Jr; two brothers, Michael Nance (Cobie), Deparis Townsend and one sister, Elizabeth Nance; special uncle, Jerry Nance (Barbara); friend and father of her son, DeMario Blakney, Sr.; godfather Earl Mackey, and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
