Mrs. Clara Nell Strong, affectionately known as "Nell" was born on June 29, 1941 in Chester County, South Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Savannah "Van" Brown and Clara Evans Brown.  Mrs. Strong entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 7, 2022.

Clara was the sweetest person to know.  She was lovable and always had a smile on her face.  She had a passion for sewing, planting flowers, and spending summer days on the porch fussing at her husband.

She was a loving wife, great mother, and devoted grandmother.  She was a wonderful wife to her husband of 61 years, David Strong.  She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew and loved her.

Clara is preceded in death by her parents, Savannah Brown and Clara Brown, husband, David Strong; son Edward Strong; four brothers, Lester Brown, Sammie Brown Jr., Albert Brown, and John Brown.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Lloyd Strong (Sharon); two daughters, Carolyn Lewis and Joyce Strong all of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren, Vontavia Henry (Kevin), Sheena Crump, Alisha Robinson (Gene), Briana Strong, Desmond Strong, Sha'ron Cuthbertson, Rayshawn Strong and Pharaoh Frye; sisters Rosa Lee Crockett (the late Charles) and Carrie Blakely (the late David) all of Chester, SC; brothers, Bill Brown (the late Lucille) and Wylie Brown (Sylvinia), all of Baltimore, MD, Joe Brown (Willie Mae) of Chester, SC; ten great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.
