A Time To Be Born:

Clarissy Coulter Knox, was born to Alfred and Viola Coulter on March 25, 1926 in Roseville, South Carolina.

A Time To Grow:

Clarissy attended Roseville Elementary and finished at Wilkinson High School. She continued on to receive her B.S. degree from South Carolina State University and her Masters Degree from New York City College.

A Time To Love:

Clarissy met and married William H. Knox and out of that union no children were born.

A Time To Work:

Clarissy taught Home Economics at West Charlotte Senior High School and East Mecklenburg Senior High School for a total of 35 years.  She was a model for Ebony Fashion Fair.

A Time to Worship:

Clarissy's home church was Simpson Gillespie United Methodist Church located in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina for more than 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and playing bells at the church.  Clarissy's voice could also be heard singing in the choir.  She loved to bowl and won many trophies.  Clarissy was a woman who loved to work in her community.  She was affiliated with the organization Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

A Time To Mourn:

Clarissy entered rest on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Carrington Place Nursing Home in Charlotte, NC.  Those left to cherish fond memories are her sister, Viola Hill; nieces, Beverly Hill, Patricia Davis (Stephan) and Yvette Coulter; nephews, James Hill (Tracy), Reginald Hill (Cynthia), Franklin Coulter and Jason Coulter, and a host of other relatives and friends.
