Miss Clearisa Elizabeth Black, 60 of Charlotte, passed away on July 25, 2019 at Levine & Dickson-Aldersgate. She was affectionately know as Cat, was born on June 29, 1959 to the late Paul Alvin Black, Sr. and Kay Watts Benson.
Miss Black attended Independence High School in Charlotte, NC. She was a faithful and valued employee of Sunrise Assisted Living in Charlotte, NC where she was the Housekeeping Supervisor for two years.
She was a member of the First Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She will always be remembered as a great and loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her mother, Kay F. Benson and her father, Paul A. Black, Sr. and stepfather, Charles A. Benson, Miss Black was preceded in death by her sister, Bernadette Whitley; brothers, Adolphe Watts and Roderick Watts and aunts, Jumenia Watts and Virgeline Watts-Davis.
She leaves to cherish and honor her memories two sons, Onslow Black (Valoria) and Elijah Black (Quovella), both of Charlotte, NC; one granddaughter, D'Aizah Caldwell of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Paul A. Black, Jr. (Genise) of Charlotte, Cass Watts, Sr. (Karen) of Gastonia, NC; two sisters, Sytalia Parks-Turner and Paula Huntley (Karey) of Charlotte, NC; and a best friend, Dottie Crenshaw of Charlotte, NC.
