Mrs. Clenny (a.k.a. Clemmie) Mae Davis, 77, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Clenny Mae Davis, 77 years young, was born December 12, 1946, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, to the late Essie Brown and Lester Brown.  She departed this life, surrounded by family and friends, on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

She worked for the City of Charlotte Sanitation Department as a Heavy Equipment Operator.  She enjoyed spending her time on the banks of a lake fishing the day away, eating the sweetest watermelon and spending time with her grandchildren.

She attended Restoration Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ and Body of Christ.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy Boyd and Robin Boyd; one son, Leroy Boyd; and four sisters, Odessa Mathis, Yvonne Brown, Clara Brown and Delores "Beck" Brown.

She is survived by two sons, Pastor Ernest Boyd (Sandra) and James Boyd (Catherine); one daughter, Victoria Boyd; five brothers, Nathaniel, Bobby (Janice), Lester (Winifred), Aaron (Felicia), and Ernest; one sister, Fannie (Donnie); twelve grandchildren, Angel, Keisha, Cherry, Dreamboy, Safari, Jamie, Tekenya, Rashawn, Marquise, Rico, Tammy and Tameeka; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
