Conway Buford, Sr., 90 of Charlotte, NC was born on April 10, 1932 in Kershaw, SC to the late Tillman Buford Sr, and Amelia Buford. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 21, 2022 Peacefully at his home.
Conway only had an 8th grade education, but he processed life skills that were unimaginable in the 90 Years the Lord allowed him to grace this Earth.
Conway retired in 2016 after 28 years, as a Warehouseman/Forklift Driver from P/Kaufmann founded in New York City in 1957. P/Kaufmann is one of the world's largest producers of decorative and woven textiles used all over the world. Prior to working for P/Kaufmann he worked as a warehouseman for Biggers Brothers a food service distributor, Pacific Electric a producer of circuit breaker panels in North American from the 1950s to the 1980s. He also worked for Charles Ervin Construction, a suburban Developer which is now a Historic District Designation in Oaklawn Park. He is known as the Macgyver, to all his friends and especially his family. Conway had the ability to fix anything. He carried a vast knowledge of Automotive, mechanical and landscaping skills. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to all who asked, and Lord knows he loved giving advice even if you did not ask him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Mayola Buford, son Conway Buford Jr., daughter Joan Buford Rembert, sister Ruth Ann Withers and brother Raymond Dye.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories; his Son Jerome Buford, two daughters Deborah Ann Blackmon and Robin Buford Webber (Wade) 8 grandchildren Monita La'nise Blackmon, Deoma Buford (Angela), Nikki Ali Blackmon, Carlos Sanchez Rembert, Kamelia Jo'Nelle Buford McCullough (Brandon), Darien Lamar Webber (Alexis) Bryton Lamar Webber, Ivan Jerome Paul, 10 Great grandchildren Daelin & Dariane Buford, Devon Maurice Drakeford, Hailey Jo'nelle McKenzie Boyce, Major Carmello McCullough, Austin Webber, Allasyn Webber, Savannah Monroe McCullough, Kaiyan McCullough and Kamelia C'Niya Rembert. His loving brother Tillman Buford Jr, Sister in Law Julia Vance and niece Jo Ann Withers all of Charlotte, NC; a host of cousins, relatives and caring friends.
