Cora Belle Ray Graham, 85 of Charlotte, passed away on August 20, 2019 at Mill Creek Manor, Statesville. She was born to the late Clem Howard and Julia Ann Ray on July 5, 1934 in Hoke County.
Cora attended Upchurch High School in Raeford, NC. In her early adult years, she later moved to Charlotte, NC where she worked for Red Carpet Inn. She then worked for Perfecting Coupling, where she later retired from. She was a long time member of Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in which she showed her dedication through Ushering, being a part of the Young At Heart Ministry, as well as singing on the Hymn choir and devoted her time by attending Sunday School.
Cora also known as "Mama Cora" loved her dog Zack! Cora was also an avid competitive bowler, loved to shop, spend time with family, travel, gardening, and was full of laughter and jokes.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Fred Ray, Della Lomack, Leroy Ray, George Ray, Matthew Ray, Mary Wright, and Clem Ray.
Cora leaves behind to cherish her memories with her four children: Matthew Graham, Weldon H. Graham (Lucinda), Annie Davis (Archie), and David L. Ray. Eight grandchildren: Kenneth Davis (Carol), Tori Morgan (Donald), Michael Wright (Nicole), Tosha McClean, Ron Davis (Ebonique), Corinda Graham, Amaris Brown (Marvin), and Phylinda Hallman (Quantel). 11 Great-grandchildren: Desmun Locklear, Aranara McKoy (Decari), Taijhah Flakes, Shyy'Nara Davis, Kamaria Brown, Zyy'Marreia Davis, Trynity Flakes, Phy'nique Hallman, Zayquan Hallman, Maxximus Wright, and Noah Brown. One Great-Great Grandchild, Decari McKoy Jr. A loving brother John D. Ray (Bernice) and two sister in laws: Sally Bell Ray and Mary Ann Ray. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
