Curtis Jerome Davis, 71, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at his residence in Charlotte, NC.

Curtis Jerome Davis was born on December 26, 1954, in Henderson, NC. He departed this life on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Charlotte, NC.

Following his high school graduation, Curtis proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, where he honorably served his country for four years. His time in service reflected his dedication, strength, and commitment to others.

Curtis was loved by many and will always be remembered for his vibrant personality and warm spirit. He never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest!! His presence brought joy and laughter to those around him, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

A true jack of many trades, Curtis worked as a welder and in landscaping, using his hands and skills to provide and create. He took pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Plent Simmons, Jr. and Otis “Butch” Davis.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories Gardenia Davis and their sons, Curtis Davis II, Adam Davis (Dominique), and Alan Davis (Tyniesha); his five beloved grandchildren, Alan Jr., Adam Jr., Tylir, Olivia and Jordan. He is also survived by his brothers, Carlton and John Davis; his sister, Regina Simmons; his nieces, Joanna, Donna, Carlisa, and Sophia Davis, Natasha Stone, Tracee Simmons, Shana Pappas; and his nephew, Julius Davis; along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Curtis’s legacy of love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
