OBITUARY

Mr. Curtis Fluitt was born on September 17, 1959, in Williamsburg County, South Carolina, to the late Carrie Lee Fluitt and Jack Dias.

Curtis attended Williamsburg High School. After graduating, he furthered his education at the Williamsburg Technical, Vocational and Adult Education Center, where he developed many of the skills that would serve him throughout his life and career.

A hardworking and gifted man, Curtis was known for his craftsmanship and ability to fix, build, and create. As a carpenter by trade, he was often the person family, friends, and neighbors called when something needed to be repaired or completed. Whatever the job, Curtis was the man for it.

Curtis was also known as an excellent cook, especially for his famous greens. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, building, and repairing things. He had a larger-than-life personality and a sense of humor that could light up any room. Although he loved talking junk and keeping everyone laughing, he was always there when someone needed him. Dependable, resourceful, and caring, Curtis was truly a man of many talents.

More than anything, Curtis loved his family. He cherished spending time with those he loved and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His wisdom, strength, and presence will forever remain a treasured part of the lives he touched.

On Monday, May 25, 2026, Curtis peacefully departed this life and entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Carrie Lee Fluitt and Jack Dias; his sister, Annie B. Smith; and his brothers, Nate, Punch, Herman, and Bobby.
