Mrs. Cynthia Mae Blount-Williams was born in Monroe, North Carolina, on January 31, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Blount and Mildred Blount. Cynthia entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Her early education began in Monroe, North Carolina in the Union County School system. In 1967, she graduated from West Charlotte Senior High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. She continued to pursue her education at Central Piedmont Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1971. Later, she continued with her nursing education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Cynthia began her professional career as a nurse at Charlotte Community Hospital (formerly Good Samaritan Hospital). After thirty-three years of dedicated service as a nurse, caring for patients in Charlotte, North Carolina, she retired from Presbyterian Hospital (now known as Novant Health).
In 1981, she joined the United States Army Reserve where she serve with distinction for nearly six years.
She was married to Donald Albert Williams for 59 years until her death. She was dearly loved by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lloyd and Mildred Blount, Cynthia was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Blount, her sister Nadine Reba Blount Love' one niece, Karyn R. Love and one nephew, Kenneth R. Love, Jr.
Left to cherish precious memories are her devoted husband, Donald Albert Williams; her sister, Deloris Blount Bennett; her brother, Gary Eugene Blount; her nephew, Dion Martin; her three nieces, Keisha Martin, Crystal Blount and Selena Love; her stepchildren, Albert Barrett, Derek Robinson, and Stephanie Morrison; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
